Orton Plantation Gardens

Orton Plantation is situated on the Cape Fear River near Southport, just 30 miles north of Sea Trail. The Plantation consists of 20 acres of formal and informal gardens.

Parts of over forty movies have been made at Orton, including feature films (Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood & A Walk to Remember) and television movies and series (Matlock & One Tree Hill).

Self-guided tours of the 20-acre gardens are available and take approximately 1 hour.
